DICOM Gateway Networks Features

Model DR71 DICOM Gateway

The Images-on-Call PACS DICOM Gateway, Model DR71, is the industries only Storage Service Class Provider offering Controlled Quality Wavelet Compression™, providing the fastest image transmission over normal telephone lines and Broadband Internet network connections. The technologist simply ‘pushes’ a case to the DR71 Gateway, and the Images-on-Call software handles the tasks necessary to complete the transfer to a remote ViewStation. With Images-on-Call’s pipelined transmission capabilities, the technologist may send other cases while a preceding case might still be being transmitted. At the receiving site, the radiologist or clinician has the freedom to examine 12 bit data, allowing full range window/level manipulation of the images. Alternately, the technologist may park images at the sending site for later retrieval at any time, from any location. The DR71 Gateway may also be connected to a local area network, and configured to provide images to any number of workstations on the network.
